Generación Global

Generación Global is a laboratory of stage creation with young people between 14 and 18 years of age from different backgrounds, with special attention to migrants and refugees. It is a project in collaboration with the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid, the Universia Foundation and several high schools in Madrid. This laboratory is mediated by the artists Lucía Miranda and Marina Santo, both with extensive experience in community creation. The intention of the workshop is to reflect together on the issues that concern young people and prepare a performance piece where they share their ideas and experiences. Cross Border is a group of art-educators working in the field of performing arts, education and social transformation. In 2014 they were selected by the Coordinadora de ONGD España as Agents of Social Change through the arts and are residents of Matadero Madrid.

The Cross Border Project

The Cross Border Project

The Cross Border Project was born in New York as a personal project of Lucía Miranda. Since 2012 Cross Border is established in Spain, with a group of artists working in the field of theater, education and social transformation. Cross Border is an initiative of cultural and social innovation, composed of a Theater Company, a School of Applied Theater and a Kitchen: the space where to investigate and develop projects with other groups and disciplines. With a local and international essence, they have developed projects in places as diverse as Rivas-VaciaMadrid, Medina de Rioseco, Paris, and Dakar, since the Cross Borders can work in Spanish, English and French.
